Tomorrow is April 5th. It's a holiday... People are expected to go and sweep their ancestral burial grounds. In fact, right behind our apartment complex is the burial ground of a very wealthy person. That's why we were able to purchase this apartment for such a 'reasonable' price. When we first rode around the neighborhood, we thought it was a park behind us! Looking around the fifth floor apartment, we went to the back balcony and noticed the large frosted pieces of window decals and when we wanted to open the windows, the developer tried to stop us. We were very puzzled!
Christians celebrated Resurrection Sunday on March 31st, which was just five days ago. There is no tomb to sweep! Jesus is ALIVE!
In light of the earthquake on April 3rd, we have a wonderful promise to stand on from John 11:25-26 -- 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
