How are you? Really! How would you describe the first 10 weeks of 2024? Here in Taiwan, we had a nice Chinese New Year Holiday... and this year, being Leap Year, we all had 'one extra day'!
God gave me Romans 12:12 as my verse of focus for 2024.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer!
And in these past 10 weeks, the Lord is working this 'simple' verse into my heart! How? Well... just through one simple situation!
I'm waiting upon the Lord to get my daughter the visa she needs to stay in Brazil. Once she gets that visa, I want her to come back for 10 days! Without the visa, we are afraid that she won't be able to go back once she leaves. And with the care of my Mom, traveling out of Taiwan is OUT OF THE QUESTION! I haven't seen her for a very long time... so it seems! Alan was able to go and see her in February. He is planning to see her again this summer! Every year we have our Family Portrait... One year, Isaiah wasn't in Taiwan. Last year, Abby wasn't in Taiwan. We had to set up a computer and each time, either Isaiah or Abby had to call in for the 'event'! I would LOVE to have a Family Portrait with all four of us in Taiwan!
So, through this situation, God is applying Romans 12:12... I'm reminded to pray, to be patient and to rejoice.
